Felicity Jones was born in England and is best known as the actress who appeared as Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones has been in theatre, film as well as television since she was 12 years old. Her first role was in The Treasure Seekers, a TV film. Then she played the character in Ethel Hallow another television show called The Worst Witch and its sequel Weirdsister College. In her film debut Flashbacks of a Fool she played Young Ruth and went on to appear in a variety of films. The actress gained acclaim for her role in films including The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. However it was her role on The Theory of Everything' that earned her the Oscar nomination the first time. Jones was praised by the public and critics for portraying Hawking's former wife, in the Stephen Hawking biopic. Inferno featuring Tom Hanks was next on her resume. It was the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles presented Jones the British Artist of the Year in 2016 due to her extraordinary ability and contribution to film.
