Richard B. Cheney has worked as a public official over a number of years, and also is an entrepreneur who has made a name for himself. The current position he holds is the Vice-President of the United States. Cheney has become a regular face on the Washington political landscape, has served under several U.S. presidents George W. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff to a president, served as an elected Member of Congress and was secretary of defence. Cheney is a man with integrity and is respected by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney believes that his job as a member of the Bush Administration will be to serve as an honest and discreet advisor. Cheney expressed excitement about being nominated for the Republican vice-presidential nomination. He stated that the future is bright for him working alongside a president who will work together with people of different political views and with the same objectives. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on January 30, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. When Richard Bruce Cheney was 13 the family of Richard Bruce Cheney left Lincoln Nebraska and moved to Casper Wyoming in the state where his father worked for Casper Wyoming, where his father was the director of U.S. Department of Agriculture's regional soil conservation districts.
