But while Decker has always believed she was a country artist the album was produced and marketed using a popular audience in minds. Her music came under increased attention after the launch of two songs. The second single, Boys in the Summer featured a rural feel. Decker released her second album with two titles: Sweet American Dreams or Daughter of a Gypsy. Mercury put it on hold after the first three singles did poorly in the country charts. Decker then was let be released from her contract.
