Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in the Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, a Romanian gymnastics instructor, who was later Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci aged six. Her first competitive event was The National Junior Championships in which she was 13th place in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci won. In 1972, during the communist nations' meet for junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she was awarded 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. At her first competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion winning four gold medals as well as one silver. The first female to ever successfully complete reverse double saltos while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the world of entertainment began in her teens, when she began skating figure alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol's career began in entertainment as a teenager. Her career began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. The shows were ice skating performances that were performed to music from the stage.
