Jennifer Garner was born on April 17, 1972, at Houston, Texas but was born to be raised in Charleston, West Virginia. William John Garner worked as the chemist of Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner taught in a college near her. To follow her father, she completed a degree in chemical engineering. To fulfil her dream to become an actress, she moved in New York. While appearing in Broadway shows, she worked as a waitress. Garner was a guest star in the series "Felicity." (It is on that show that she met her first husband, Scott Foley.) She got her big break with the action-thriller "Alias." Her first leading role was the acclaimed love story "13 going on thirty." The film starred her as an teen who was stuck in the body of a 30-year-old. Garner chose Gary Winick (director) to direct the film. Together, they looked for new opportunities until Winick passed away in the year 2011. Garner was appointed artist ambassador in 2011 by Save the Children U.S.A. It includes the promotion of education, nutrition, and literacy as well as early education. Garner is a board member for this nonprofit organization from 2014. She is a proponent of early childhood education. In her role as an ambassador, Garner visits often with families who participate in Early Steps to School Success which is a program designed to guide parents in how to assist young children to learn.
